Override change i would like to see is put a Formation Box where you put a checkmark by it on each player

Ok first off let me say today was the first time I tried to actually do a OVERRIDE on a team I own and from the looks of it if there is 22 offensive formations and if I wanted to use all 3 QBS I would have to do all 22 offensive formations to where I could make sure I would be using all 3 QBS.

What I would like to change on the OVERRIDE is that instead of going thru the pain staking of going thru each formation and change what you want to change is to make it where there is a formation box where you can put a checkmark by the formation on each player that way you could cut down on how long it takes to do each formation .

Just put that formation box either before contract or after health and problem solved.

why would you not want to use your starter in all formations? formation override i believe is so you can put a specific player in a spot, for instance if you use that formation for exclusively strong side runs you would use override to stack all your best run blockers on the strong side instead of at the positions they would be at according to the depth chart

well was thinking of 2 reasons why I wouldn't want to use my starter in all formations.

1. if it is preseason then really I could see all 3 QBS or whatever number of players I have at one position.
By doing this would make it easier I would think to see who you should KEEP and who you should CUT.

2. my second reason is by putting in all 3 QBS or whatever number of players I have at one position I would think would be benefitally for my team in that my opponent I would think would have to game plan for all the players at a certain position instead of gameplanning for just 1.
also I would think by doing this would lessen the chances of injuries and if injuries did still occur at least I wouldn't be hurting from it in that I would be playing every one versus maybe just 22 players on my team.
Unless of course there is a way you can make sure the game subs your backups once your starter reaches a stamina or energy threshold where he needs to subbed out in the game.

That's actually a good idea. I'll have to try that.

I like this idea as well.

And another reason doing this would be good just to answer your question is what if you want to run a different QB in goaline situations? Maybe your "regular" passer is a pocket passer and in the redzone or on the goaline you like to mix it up and put in your scrambling QB

I'm good with this unless we can keep down and distance as well. I would like a specialty override where I can move players around in a particular formation tho.

Now for some snark. Punisher is just mad because s/he (I think at one point the OP said not to call the OP "dude" so I don't know if that implies preference or gender) has 35 teams to manage. :)

This already happens automatically

to answer #1 - all you have to do is set fatigue lower it will automatically sub your players for you, look under gameplanning --- misc options --- max fatigue before pulling players

#2 - if someone gameplans for your BEST player at a position 2nd or 3rd string shouldn't be a problem

you can already do this with the current override for goal line formation, there is no setting to switch out players due to field position, only way to do that currently would be to have formations that are used exclusively at certain parts of the field then change the players to match your strategy

Can't do that either. Rules only allow you to select personnel groups, not formations. One of the biggest drawbacks to rules for me.
