Thanks, yeah, it helps overall. Appreciate. I guess I'll be asking the developer on this question then. Because I remember reading something about placing a player in a position that compromised his skillset and his strength area numbers would go down. But, yeah putting a DefTackle in an Offensive Guard position would do the same, deplete his strengths, but I wonder if it would build up his other strengths that are needed for a good Guard or if in programming those areas are not even available for him because his original position didn't include those areas. I could try it and see.
And yes, I picked up that I can drag and drop different players in the 'Depth Chart' section and see the numbers change accordingly. Pretty cool that.

I've had a defensive end transition into an SLB pretty well, so almost any position can transition into another.

I doubt switching a DT to a Offensive Line position would be very benificial as I am not sure if he really would improve much on blocking skills but jdavid could answer that one better. I have never even tried something that drastic
If there is no blue bar on a player's rating then he cannot improve in that area, but he can gain experience which is why his current will be lower than his potential even though all his bars are red.

I keep the depth chart permanently like that. Every game he plays he gains more position experience. So even if he is coming off the bench just a couple plays a game his knowledge at that position improves.
This is actually a pretty smart idea.

If i put a player at 2 positions, will he get 50% the positional experience at both positions or put him at 4 positions he gets 25% each vs if i only put him at one position would he get the full 100% positional training experience. Or does he get the full training experience at every position i put him at?
Is there anything else we need to do during training camp along side of putting players in positions of choice?

During TC, the position in the depth chart does not have any effect, he only improves at the position he is assigned to (the position that shows up on his main player page). He only gains experience at other position when he actually has game time at those positions.
