I disagree.
I think you would make the other team punt. They could drop the snap (not in MFN), or you could get a long return to setup a FG attempt. If neither of those happens, you just take a knee and go into the half. |

Yeah 31-0 I think most people would just go into the half.

I'm new here and was watching my first game http://mfn6.myfootballnow.com/log/3275 and could not understand why at the end of the half that my team blew all 3 timeouts while the opponent had the ball and drove the field to get a TD before half time.
It was like why are we helping them? Makes no sense. There isn't a place that I can adjust timeout settings, right? There is no way I would ever call a timeout while the opponent had the ball inside 2 minutes - unless maybe we stopped them deep in their territory on a late down and we were assured of getting the ball back. Or I guess at the end of the game if we were behind and trying to preserve any chance to get the ball back, but not at end of the half. I don't care that I lost the game - I have a lot to learn here but the timeouts just were mind bottling to me. |

TO logic is still all kinds of jacked up. Random timeouts in the first and 3rd quarters and then weird timeout logic in the 2 minute drill.

The random timeouts in the first and third quarters are your team burning timeouts because something happened where they had to. The end of the second quarter has several fixes that are in the 0.3.1 game engine but not in the 0.3 engine, so if your leagues are still in the 0.3 engine you can look forward to the updates at the end of your season. If you are still seeing bad timeout calls (other than the random burning timeouts) and your league is in the 0.3.1 engine, please post the plays in the bug box. I am trying to patch those as they get reported, depending on the degree of the update they will probably get patched in the 0.3.1 engine rather than being an update in the next engine. |

Ah - OK, so at the bottom of the game log it says version 0.3 engine so that will update before next season. Good to know... |

There is absolutely no reason the offense should be using a TO here, the next play would be 3rd and goal anyway, if anything you'd rather run off the entire 40 seconds before snapping the ball. This is the 0.3.1 sim btw. http://mfn31.myfootballnow.com/watch/435#76110

Offense was two score down there and seek to have as much time as possible to score a second time after onside kick. |

It was in the first half.... the last thing you want to do is give the other team more time to score before the half. |
