Slow QBs do have value, what works for me is to have slower linemen but with high acceleration, that maybe why he's taking sacks, its not all about speed.

So you think acceleration is more important than speed for oline?

Personally, yes. I have had many DEs and DTs with 15/20 speed but with 90/100 acceleration obliterate Olines.

On the importance (or overrated importance of it) speed. I often see slow (speed) O line with HBs with max speed and acceleration, then the owners ***** and moan that they can't run screens or sweeps because the O line can't pull in time.....WHY not use a slower back?
There are so many variants on what and how to use players, it really is uop to you and how you want to develop your team.

Well I put in my 100 speed qb and only took 1 sack and he went 15 of 18 so guess I'm gonna roll with this guy for now

I guess speed trumps scrambling. I retract my statement. Carry on.

I think scramble helps the QB throw while under pressure, while speed helps him avoid pressure altogether (run to a place he is no longer getting the under pressure penalty applied).

For the record, I still have NO IDEA what makes a QB successful or not, so don't take what I just said as gospel.

Scramble is how often the QB redistributes the pocket. If he can do that more often it is more likely that he will have more chances to throw accurate passes.

Speed, acceleration, and ball carry help create space to work with. If defenders cannot get in the QBs pressure circle his throwing skills will not be effected.

Also, the faster the QB is traveling as he throws the more inaccurate he will be.

Put all that together with how defenses will either force sack with a blitz or try to get one with eight men in coverage and one will see many QBs succeed under different offensive schemes despite one or only a few of the right ratings. It's all about who they face.

In general fast QBs will handle pressure better that slow guys. Intelligence has been upped in deciding these reads In mfn1.

Speed > Intelligence in MFN-1 still. The only change coming in 0.4.1 for QBs that matters is the accuracy change since accurate QBs should now throw fewer INTs than non-accurate ones, maybe.

WarEagle is absolutely correct in what Scramble and Speed do for a QB.
