Hi folks... Well, I just took over a team with some coaching issues. I want to try to follow the advice from JDB and improve my coaching, trying to match up tendencies, etc. I have read that POS coaches don't matter much, but I want the best I can get anyhow. So, I am under the impression that, when I see that a coach is coming up to be outside of contract, they will be available to attempt to sign "early" in free agency. Is it the first day only? What is my window for signing new coaches?

There is no downside to resigning your coaches, so always do it, even if they're bad. You can sign any available coach at any time (or promote one of your own), but you can only 'poach' (i.e. offer a coach from a different team a promotion) during the first 5 days of Free Agency (i.e. any time before the draft).

Only the HC's playbook styles matter at this time, so ignore it for all your other coaches.
