Zero savings if cut???
by jhartshorn @ 6/06/2017 2:09 pm
In my new team in 72, I was about to start end of season pruning and looking to reduce some cap costs etc (which I might still do if you think it's possible), when I noticed on the Roster page (tab contracts) it says Savings if Cut = $0 for every player. I have never seen this before - is it a bug? Is it good? Is it bad?? Looks weird!
Your thoughts please...

after a certain week in the season (not sure how late in season) there is no cap savings by cutting a player since the season is almost over. Not a bug

It shows what you would save for the current season, because the regular season is over you no longer have any base salary to pay the players and thus there is nothing to save. It will update once the season rolls over into early free agency.

The salary is prorated through the season. If you're in the postseason there is no savings to cutting the player in the current year.
