Trade Value Calculator

Anyone know why trade values change before the season even starts? In Agent 86, I traded for Bryant Bell WR before the draft. Trade value was 2000 or close to it. Now his trade value is 640. Kinda weird all in one off season for that big of a drop. Baltimore just traded for WR Burrows and his trade value is around 640. Seems a steep drop for a 26 yr old 90 rated WR. Thoughts?

i don't have the answer for this precisely but it should be understood that the trade values are very non-linear. The guys at the very top of the scale will be rated near 3000. There is a very steep drop-off in values for just a movement of a couple ratings points so one should take that into account when making trades, i.e. do you really have to have that 95 or 98 guy when a 92 for a thousand or so less points (=some top draft picks) will do?

i do feel the trade value system needs some significant adjustments, especially to make older, high-rated players easier to trade, as i've stated elsewhere.

Follow up From Agent 86, just trying to figure out this Trade Value.

"Not that anyone really cares, as seen by the one reply....thanks swishman. Bryant Bell, the WR I traded for had an initial TV of 2000+, once acquired it dropped to 650, now after TC his TV is 2080. Not that his rating went up too much 2/0. I don't get this. I read in he general forums there might be a bug?"

It was a bug and should have been fixed now. Everyone should now see the same trade value for each player.
