In a league I am in, I had the ball on my opponent's 1 yard line on first down with a 6-0 lead with 1:21 left in the half when my team lines up in Shotgun 5 Wide Parallel Slants, a short pass, while having running designated heavily favored (outside 25, inside 55, short pass 20, 0 medium/long) in the situation as according to the game plan. I had available multiple run heavy geared offenses (2RB/3TE, 2RB/2TE/1WR, 3RB/2TE) with adequate amount of plays weighted towards each offense scheme.

I checked my rules and have nothing. I checked my Misc thinking the Hurry-up could some how affect it, but the HU slider is only for the 4th quarter. So how did this happen and how can I prevent it from happening again? Or is this just another "Ooops, AI screwjob again"

yes. When I make a plan, I make sure I have the schemes for the play called

Any play listed has a non-zero probability of being called, you might want to remove that formation from that situation which would eliminate that play from being called.

You can turn down 5WR to zero (but that will also remove the slot drag); alternatively you can just reduce it, but currently there's not a way to block a given play. (That is on the roadmap but no eta on when it will get applied)

I think the only way would be to create a rule for 0-1 and set it for the formation and personnel you want. Double check after making the rule that your plays are in the 'view plays' of that rule, then you know it will only call those plays.

But I think you are right. As much as I am opposed to using rules because I fully don't understand them, I think this situation clearly indicates I should rethink my situation.
