When setting a defensive rule, I'm presented with tons of options.

Theses options range from the back 7/8 personnel on defense.

If you have a very strong DL and on 3rd & long you want a 4DL-2LB-5DB formation...Is there a way to do this ?

I'm by no means an expert, but from my experience you would need to identify the plays that meet your desired lineup, determine if it contains Goaline, Normal, Nickel, Dime or Quarter. Then adjust the sliders to favor that personnel configuration. Then adjusting the Secondary and Linebacker settings so they favorably match the plays you would like called.

This is not an exact science, but you can get pretty close. You can always adjust your settings and then "view plays" to bring up all the plays from which the coaches will decide.

Nickle is the 4-2-5 unless it is being run out of the few 3-3-5 plays that are scattered through the playbooks.
