Quick question: if I override for a player to play a certain place but he's completely gassed, will the game still make him play that play or will it sub him out with someone from the depth chart?

The overrides will obey your fatigue settings. If the player is below your fatigue threshold for his position (his -assigned- position, not the position he is in the override as) it will fall back to your depth chart.

oh and how do preseason overrides work? if its the second half and my starters shouldnt be in the game yet my override has a starter in a position, will that starter be made to play? or will it just skip the override and use the depth chart?

If a player has been benched he won't be called from the override chart.
