Can someone explain to me how a player can be a free agent after this year while he is signed for another 3 years?? I have a player who is signed thru 2030 yet he is on the list for players due to be free agents at the end of 2027.

i think it is one of these players he is refering to because they have 1 year left on their contract .

I have another player pending free agency with 5 years left on his contract so I don't understand how he can be a free agent after this year.

What are you seeing that indicates that he's pending free agency?

I also only see Martinez and Young as guys with one year remaining.

On my page it says Players pending free agency and it says Click here. I clicked and it lists players I guess will be free agents. Contracts range from 2-5 years left. Now, if players with 5 years left are not considered free agents then why are they listed??

I think clicking that link brings you to the Negotiating Wizard. It shows ALL your players, and i believe it sorts them from most years remaining to least. Click the word "Remaining" and it will sort the list from least to most.

I believe they are listed because you can negotiate a contract extension with them now if you wish. If they have 5 years left, you have their rights for the current season plus four more. But, if you want to extend them now, you can. Most of the forum experts don't recommend it, however.
