Somehow we skipped 5th and 6th down and went straight to 7th down???

No manual fix. Bonus wasted time fixing personnel bug. Noted custom yardage for D rules goes from 0 - whatever # i want to put in there. Better than 0-30 in old UI. Put in 0-99 as a value. Thought i should do 0-50. NO real clue, tbh. Checked 0-25 yardage bug, confired. too pooped to keep redoing my defensive rule game planning for this playoff game i thought i'd be done a few hours ago yadda yadda. Quickly realized i was i the 9th circle of **** chasing bugs on the eve of a WC weekend. As Paul would say, Let Me Roll It.
Additional chaos: Why do I have to go through Captcha to do a google search if im not logged into my gmail account? Like holy *blankets* its not one but 2 captchas to google *stuff* these days. Dafuq!!
The internet is getting too parse and too flipping difficult to enjoy, and the new UI ease of use / ease of interface/ link intuitive placement and integration is not the exception.
It is unfortunate that creators continue to drop radical changes to user learned interface behaviors so carelessly. It's important to carry carefully crafted user responses and habits into any new commercial exchanges and user experiences.
Not just here in MFN, but across the User experience.
Releasing a beta is super difficult. Once it's in the masses... Everything is exposed. it's not an easy process for anyone. It's important for me to remember neither Apple nor EA ever gets it right the first time. Again my thanks to all the boots in the background.

As witch hunter would say beta is beta.
Actually this is bullshit. In 2025 if you happen to regress your UI this poorly, are you actually capable of what you think you’re capable of?
JDB it’s sure be nice for you to poke your head up with a grand solution to the growing disdain of UI. Which I mind you owners have for months already told you how much they didn’t like it compared to old UI. You even managed to mangle football and create a seventh down.
owners have for months already told you how much they didn’t like it compared to old UI.
This is a bunch of garbage. There was a lot of this immediately after it was first released in a very early draft form. It had a ton of problems at that time. I have been pointing out the issues for months, and JDB has done an incredible job of making the changes and fixing everything I have pointed out. Most of the community checked out and decided to just continue with the old UI, ignoring the fact that the new would be forced on you at some point. If it has issues that you don't like, it's on you at this point.

The depth chart is still an issue that was not fixed. Please also see Seth comments. These are low hanging fruit not being addressed.
I understand not everyone will be appeased but is it really worth it to disenfranchise any % of your population based on reluctance?
It was made clear new UI was not a hit. That was JDB opportunity to take it back. Owners have constantly referred to old UI being better. There is over one year worth of posts saying as much. Whereas they were not testing feedback the sentiment was clearly conveyed.
Further JDB did not test himself. It is ridiculous to thrust testing onto the users in such an abstract way of whack a mole. Not my job or hobby, I’m here to play a game not test. Easiest way to do things was to truly truly make parity in visual ways and functional ways.
Trudge on.
Beyond that I believe a committee was formed early on to do testing. What happened with that? Now there is a supposed new committee to help centralize engine issues. So should we now be at fault for the engine flaws? Big NO. It is all in the posts. One just needs to take that feedback seriously and or login as a user for the experience.
Love the game. Love the ideas. Not loving the roll out of subscription or new UI. Afraid of what will happen to engine when things actually get technical.
Honestly the landing page for this site alone is kind of bunk. Tons of words and scrolling just to find where to login at. Let’s just be real at the moment and understand the user experience has degraded. If we can accept that then the only question to be asked is what can be done about that?
Change is hard. We all prefer what we are familiar with, at least at first. I have come to prefer the new UI over the past several months through use and familiarization. Early on, it was frustrating, and I often had to switch back to the old to do something that wasn't working right in the new. That has almost entirely ceased, since I was active about getting the issues pointed out, and as I said, JDB has done a great job fixing things as they came up. You could have done the same.
Also, this is not a matter of "Hey, wouldn't it be fun to completely redo the UI", as JDB has said. It was a necessity due to the old UI relying on outdated and no longer supported internet technology (or something along those lines, this is not my area of expertise, so my comment may not be precise).
I am ignorant of the reality admittedly. Change is hard. Still don’t understand why the look and feel had to be so different. I get the bones but I’m under the impression visually things could have been laid out the same in appearance and otherwise. That level of familiarity would have made transition and testing all the more simpler. Subtle items like the main menu and options displayed are even different, including how that menu closes - can no longer click main screen to drop menu. The way I see game planning changed which doesn’t enhance anything. Cutting from team page takes me through the player card and no longer lands back at team page.
Every single click is different and some less favorable. Haha. Too much, too soon. There has to be some relativity in that idea.

This is a "dummy" down. If you've ever downloaded a game before and opened it in Excel and sort through Downs there are more than 4 - KO, PR, KR (off the top of my head). I'm sure this is an easy fix that will be addressed.
Change is impossible right now, because the new UI doesn't work. I am not begrudging the fact that sometimes change is foisted upon me, but I am begrudging the fact that I can't do the things I used to. And now I'm being blamed for not liking this new thing I'm forced to deal with? What a crock!
