Completely agree. I sign players to help my team, but occasionally those players don't work out for me. The NFL doesn't force you to keep a player. You should be able to sign and trade as desired.
Even if someone is signing and trading, it does them as much harm as good because they are eating the bonus which is usually large for decent players. They are taking a chance on rookie draft picks that may not pan out as well.
If the cap situation was different then I would agree but most teams have more cap space than they know what to do with. Player salaries need to keep rising a bit still for the cap to be the limit on this sort of stuff.
Its with in the rules so I am not calling anyone out as cheating. I just think its not good for the spirt of a roster building sim to have the loop hole that is mostly a result of the cap sim not being quite up to speed with the other aspects of the game.
