Why I Built This

It started in 1982. I was nine years old, the NFL went on strike, and there was no football to watch. So I made my own paper league. I played the games in my head and kept the standings and schedule on paper.
That was the beginning.
As I got older, I kept searching for a game that felt like the one I’d been playing in my head. Console franchise modes never lasted the way I wanted. I found Front Office Football and played it for years, even joining multiplayer leagues, but the experience was cumbersome, and the day-to-day work could sometimes feel more like chores than football.
Eventually, I realized the game I wanted didn’t exist.
So I decided to build it.
What started as an experiment to see if I could actually pull it off became MyFootballNow: a persistent, multiplayer football simulation where seasons keep going, the league keeps running, and every roster move, trade, and game plan matters.
I’ve been working on it since 2013.
It’s the game I always wanted.
