Affiliate Program Terms
MYFOOTBALLNOW AFFILIATE PROGRAM TERMS OF SERVICE
These terms govern participation in the MyFootballNow Affiliate Program (the "Program"), operated by Catalyst Productions LLC. They supplement, and do not replace, the MyFootballNow Terms and Conditions. If these terms conflict with the MyFootballNow Terms and Conditions regarding the Program, these terms control for that conflict only. The MyFootballNow Terms and Conditions otherwise remain in effect.
1. Eligibility & Enrolment
- Player-Only Status: The Program is open exclusively to registered players of MyFootballNow with a verified email address whose Program participation has not been revoked. During the beta, administrator approval is required unless open enrollment is enabled. Open enrollment does not remove the verified-email requirement or reinstate revoked participation.
- Self-Referral Prohibition: You may not refer yourself or create additional accounts using your own affiliate link. Rewards attributable to prohibited self-referrals are ineligible. After review, we may suspend or terminate Program participation or take action against player accounts under the MyFootballNow Terms and Conditions. Unrelated, legitimately earned commissions are not automatically forfeited because of a self-referral attempt.
2. Referral Tracking & Attribution
- Referral Tracking: A valid affiliate referral link stores a referral cookie in the visitor's browser for up to 90 days. Visiting another valid affiliate referral link before signup may replace that cookie and change which affiliate receives attribution.
- Signup Attribution: A referred player must complete account creation in the same browser while the referral cookie is valid. Once established at signup, the account's referral association is not changed by later referral links.
- Tracking Limitations: Referral tracking depends on the referral cookie being available at signup. Clearing or blocking cookies, switching browsers or devices, browser extensions, or ending a private browsing session may prevent attribution. We cannot guarantee attribution when the referral cookie is unavailable.
3. Commission Structure & The 12-Month Cap
- Commission Rate: Affiliates earn a 20% commission on the recorded subscription subtotal before tax for a referred user's qualifying paid monthly or annual feature subscription transactions. If no subtotal is recorded, the recorded payment amount is used. Commission amounts are rounded down to the nearest cent.
- The 12-Month Limitation: The commission window begins with the referred player's first successful paid transaction and ends twelve (12) months later. Only qualifying payments made before that anniversary earn commissions. A qualifying annual subscription payment made within the window earns its full applicable commission, even if the subscription period extends beyond the window.
- Exclusions: Commissions are only earned on premium subscription tier payments. Microtransactions, league additions, or in-game shop items are explicitly excluded from the affiliate pool.
4. Standard Tier, Preferred Tier, and Annual Cash Commission Limit
- Minimum Threshold: Approved cash commission balances of at least $50.00 USD are eligible for payout.
- Standard Tier Annual Cash Cap: Standard-tier cash commissions earned under the Program are limited to $1,999.99 USD per calendar year, whether or not they have been paid out. This is a Program policy, not an IRS tax-reporting threshold.
- Preferred Tier: We may invite or accept applications for a preferred affiliate tier. Preferred approval is discretionary, requires administrator approval, and applies only to future qualifying commissions earned after approval. A preferred affiliate may receive cash commissions above the standard-tier annual cash cap while the preferred approval and tax certification remain valid. Preferred status does not retroactively convert prior subscription credits into cash.
- Taxes and Certifications: Cash commissions and subscription credits may constitute taxable income. Before any cash payout, and before preferred approval, we may require a completed electronic tax certification or other information needed to comply with applicable tax, withholding, identity, payout, recordkeeping, or reporting obligations. You are responsible for keeping those certifications current and accurate. We may place cash payouts on hold, require re-review, deny or revoke preferred status, or withhold or report amounts as required by law.
- Subscription Credits: If a commission would exceed the annual cash commission limit, the portion up to the limit is allocated as cash and the remainder as non-refundable subscription credit. Subsequent commissions earned during that calendar year are allocated as subscription credit. Approved credits reduce future MyFootballNow subscription invoices and require a Stripe billing account before they can be applied.
- Approval Period: Cash commissions and subscription credits are subject to a 30-day refund hold before approval.
5. Payout Execution & Financial Adjustments
- Method and Schedule: Eligible approved cash balances are batched and paid out monthly via PayPal, typically by the 15th day of the following calendar month after becoming eligible. Eligibility requires completion of the 30-day refund hold, an approved cash balance of at least $50.00 USD, a valid PayPal email address in the affiliate dashboard, and any current tax clearance that we require for payout.
- Refunds and Adjustments: Recorded partial refunds proportionally reduce unpaid commissions for the affected transaction, and recorded full refunds reverse those unpaid commissions. Refunds affecting commissions already paid or subscription credits whose application has begun require manual review. Opening a dispute or requesting a refund does not by itself trigger an automatic commission reversal.
- Payment Confirmation: Generating or downloading a payout instruction file does not itself complete payment. We may confirm payouts by recipient after the batch is sent, including marking recipients as paid, failed, cancelled, or pending reconciliation based on payment evidence.
- Program Modification: We may change commission rates, eligibility rules, or commission windows, or terminate the Program, upon thirty (30) days' notice to the community stating the effective date. Changes apply only to transactions on or after that date, including future payments from existing referrals. Legitimate rewards earned before the effective date remain subject to the payout, credit, and refund rules applicable when earned and are not forfeited solely because of the change or Program termination.
- Final Settlement: If you leave the Program or the Program closes, an administrator will initiate final settlement of your affiliate account, ending participation and future commissions. Legitimate unpaid cash commissions remain subject to the 30-day refund hold and refund adjustments. After all unpaid cash commissions have completed the hold, a final cash balance below $50.00 USD is converted to non-refundable subscription credit rather than forfeited. Cash balances of $50.00 USD or more remain eligible for the normal PayPal payout process. Subscription credits, including any existing credits, require a Stripe billing account before they can be applied to future MyFootballNow subscription invoices. Final settlement does not permit cash payouts below the $50.00 USD minimum.
6. Disclosures and Promotional Conduct
- Compensation Disclosure: Clearly and conspicuously disclose that you may earn compensation near each recommendation or referral link, in a way appropriate to the medium. For example: "I may earn a commission if you subscribe through this link." Do not rely solely on a profile disclosure or the label "affiliate link."
- Honest Promotion: Do not use spam, impersonate MyFootballNow or another person, or make false or misleading claims when promoting the Program or MyFootballNow. Follow applicable advertising and disclosure laws.
