First pass my 92 rated QB made was to the defense :/

If the play matches the discussion we've been having above, please post it with a breakdown. I'm really interested in tracking plays that don't seem necessarily realistic. There will be interceptions and there will be passes knocked down at the LOS. What becomes concerning is the frequency that passes are intercepted at the LOS when there are other open receivers or receivers open earlier in the progression.

I'll have to take another look later, but at first look, I'm not sure if I would count this in the same league as some of the other bad interception plays I've seen. It looks like the QB waits a split second too long and lets the defender get the jump on the pass.

It's not a smart throw, but I don't know if it's egregious as some of the other INTs I've seen (like when a QB rifles the ball to a DE/DT or throws it into triple coverage while ignoring three open WRs).

That's what makes this thread tricky though. Knowing what plays are plays that need intervention and what plays are good defense.

The young lb had a decent value in punishing the reciever which jarred the pass loose from the young rb and the ball took an opportunistic bounce right in to the defenders hands. Seems clean enough but the back is slighly better in general and like you said perhaps the pass was late. A high rated QB should have snuck that easy pass in. Equally IRL ive seen that play many times when goung guys are in like preseason games.

That was my first take on it too.

I'm not suggesting this was a glitch, purely responding to the thread title, but imo a QB with that kind of rating and at that distance should be making the play.
Why do QBs rated in the 90s seem to be no different to a player in the mid 70s? Again IMO there should be a more distinct difference.

The is somewhat misleading about the content of the thread. The thread is tracking the QB and OL trends after the recent code changes that seem to have led to an unrealistic increase in INTs and sacks.

Other positions too, especially CB. I have teams with highly rated CBs who are no better against the pass than my teams with CBs in the 60s.

In this play the HB is supposed to run a drag route to the left, but instead blocks a rushing CB. Then the LB who was assigned to cover the HB in man coverage plays a zone or QB spy of some sort instead. Meanwhile my QB with good stats, stares his receiver down, then throws to the LB he was staring right at (who should be playing man coverage instead of zone).

(The QB and HB's play knowledge were maxed out too)
