Out of position

Hey guys, I'd like to know your thoughts about the out of position. I drafted a RDE but he had a really good speed/man coverage and lots of CB potentiel. I moved him to CB position but he's 6'4 and 255. He still got the speed to play CB but will he be successful or its a waste of a draft pick ?

I wanted to try it but wanted to know if some of you tried something like that. Is the weight really important. There's some 200 lbs safety with 100 run stopping and 80+ strenght... can they play DT ?

You may just need to experiment and try it out.

It's worth a shot, now that he's on your team.

yeah and I can always put him back DE or LB and he'll still be a good player. But I needed a CB and he was my best rated man to man/speed guy so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I'd be interested to know how it turns out.

Player is : http://cust28.myfootballnow.com/player/3885

I could do a report after training camp/mid season and end of the season. I'll watch a few games from him during training camp and I'll probably know right away if the experiment is worth it

A 6 4 cb is big. Think cromartie. 255 is way big. 225 cb would be better. It might take two or three years to get his weight down. The 64 might give you an advantage in knocking down passes but right now he might be too slow when compared to lighter veteran receivers. But i am with wareagle put him there. Or play him at ss till he loses weight.

After looking at your roster. Your safties are your best cbs. I put decker at fs and sven at ss. Its all scheme but you have solid players for a man cover 1 defense.
