Example: If you draft a QB in the 1st round vs. a DT, At the end of the contract, will it be cheaper to keep the DT over the QB? Or does it not make a difference because of draft status?

Great question. I think it will depend in part on the success of the player during the term of his contract. But I'm not sure.

It's all dependent on similar players' contracts in the league.
