I have 3 players who have 1 year on their contract (i.e they will be FAs at the end of the season).

For 2 of the players, their is no contract button in their player view, but for the other there is. Does that mean that the 2 players without the button are not interested in staying with my franchise and wont renegotiate a new deal? Or is there a reason why I would only have the "Cut" and "view" button for those 2?

It means they are in the first year of their contract (1 year deals).

You can't offer a new contract while the player / coach is still in the first year of the deal.

From what it sounds like the 2 players were probably only on a 1 year contract to begin with. When you sign a player to a one year deal in this game you can't extend them while they're still on that deal. They must become free agents at the end of the year. So either you signed them to a one year deal or you inherited a roster with them already on one year deals, that's what it sounds like happened. Signing players to 2-6 year contracts allows you to extend their contracts before the player hits free agency. Hope this helps.
