Scouting a team

How long does it take for scouting a team to take effect for the next game?

The benefits happen as part of the game stage, i.e. there is no advantage to having it set for the midweek (other than knowing you don't have to still do it)

Thank you,JD. I wasn't sure if it mattered or not.

Searching for a question to a related answer, stumbled across this and wanted to clarify.

So scouting can be done before a game, rather than midweek? I thought it had to be done midweek. Suppose you still need a midweek for roster transaction purposes, but I honestly thought the scouting element was why there was a midweek stage.

I would like to know if it has to be done by midweek as well. Or if doing it between midweek being done and the actual game is good enough.

Before the game spin. You can do it literally five minutes before the server pulls your gameday settings and be fine. I assume that the server pull is when the countdown time for the league hits zero.

Yeah I think setherick is right here, there is no advantage/disadvantage to setting right after your last game to 5 minutes before.

Correct. The reason for midweek sims is to give you a chance to make any roster adjustments that may take two spins to happen (i.e, signing a player and then adding him to your depth chart). You can sign players on the game sim, but he'll arrive on your roster as inactive.

JDB,

Will not that put you over the max 53 men on your roster, and so the AI will auto cut a player to get you down to 53 or do transactions get processed after the game has been simmed?

Thanks.
