Magic play

Now that the season is over, I want to report a magic running play, a run that gave Philly 30+ yards both times they ran it in the championship game and has given the opponent big plays consistently against my defense. Then again, when I ran it offense it did nothing for me, so I'm not sure what's going on. But honestly, it's ridiculous.
The two examples from the Bowl game, each against a different defense, should be enough to see what is wrong with this play: http://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/1332#238825 http://mfn1.myfootballnow.com/watch/1332#238873 Both plays there are defenders in excellent position to make the tackle, but the fact that the RB is running almost horizontally to the line of scrimmage seems to confuse them as they seem to run themselves out of position and give the runner a free TD, if not for fast pursuit. I scouted this play as much as I could, but as you can see, it didn't helped much. |

I am hoping to have some new logic in place in time for the upcoming season for pass and run defense. I'll see if I can include a fix for this pursuit issue in that set where pursuers are more aware of the location of their teammates.
