Suggestion: Allow owners to be able to counter any offer for your coaches.
I have to say this has to be THE most annoying thing about the game, and if I'm honest all a bit unnecessary. Also if a coach does leave, can we have it added to the team transaction list, instead of them secretly leaving via the back door.

+1 don't you just hate it when they leave out the back door? Only coached for our teams to give information to other teams! football treason!

Well I don't know really. From what I understood, the only way you can "steal" another teams coach is if you offer him a promotion. So let's say my QB coach is 90 overall, but he gets an offer to be OC or HC in another team. I doubt he will wanna stay here.
That brings another possibility : coaches have traits. Traits rated on 5 stars like :
- Career (5 stars will wanna be HC asap) - Loyalty (will stay on the same team longer) - Respect (will bring FAs more easily) - Development (will develop player quicker)
something like that... so a coach will become more important. right now its not really important to be honest

From what others have said, the coaches have little effect on the game right now. I would rather see the coach involvement beefed up in the code before worrying about others stealing them.

The current importance of coaches is basically nothing, in my opinion.

I agree that coaches other than the head coach don't matter much.
However I do like the idea of seeing where they went on transactions for the team. In my new leagues I noticed that I lost a couple of coaches and I was like dude who horked me coach, mang? I tracked it down to retirements by reading through all of the retirements leaguewide which was a bit more painful than if it was simply in my team's transaction log.

If we match an offer too keep a coach who is being pooched. Then give us the option too promote them too offensive coordinator or defensive coordinator. That is for later on.It is not that important of a fix.The bugs are more important right now.
