Just questioning how it works, I guess. Had a team that was down by 8 with 11:18 to go in the 4th quarter. Why is there an onside kick at this time for example? How can I change this from happening if possible?

You'll have to adjust your hurry up settings.
In this case you were down by more than 6, so if your hurry up was set to kick in at 6 minutes, you would be in hurry up at this point. If you're in hurry up, you'll go for it on 4th and kick onside kicks.

Thanks.... They need a separate box for onside kicks, IMO. Hurry up O is/should be completely different...

Completely agree, just as Hurry-Up is completely different than 100% pass, which is what it means now.
And slow-down currently means 100% run.
This is one of the new features I am looking forward to the most if it ever happens.
