I just have a quick question. I noticed (which I'm sure everyone has) that there is a player probability of retiring. Now it is usually 1% or less when players are young but my question is, has anyone ever had a young player just randomly retire? And if so what contributes to this? To many injuries while the player is young?

well I haven't had a young player retire on me so this is just a assumption on my part.
I would say there would be 3 reasons a player would retire young.
1. too many injuries 2. not enough playing time 3. that no one signed him off the free market

I had a player retire on a 30% chance, ironically just after I renewed his contract, which you still take the cap hit on. It doesn't really answer your question, but if you do have a player that does have his retirement chance creeping up, LESS playing time can prolong his career, eg: take him off being a starter and maybe STs as well. I think the retirement risk has an element of chance as well, in other words there is no formula to a player playing on more than another.
