One thing id love to see is pretty much eliminating day 1 signing possibility. Would be better for competition, realism imho.

I disagree - without the possibility of day 1 signings, everyone will just wait until day 2 to see what everyone else is offering. If someone has only 1 offer, or has 1 offer significantly larger than others, he should sign. If a player has more than 1 offer that is in the same ballpark, then yes I think he should probably wait to see how much more teams are willing to pay.

Good points as well! I may look at the logic because right now it's just an increasing probability that the player will take the best offer as it gets closer to the end of the FA stages; but I like your perspective of it driving more on the best offer vs. any other offers.
