But given the expiring contracts, the quality of the player, and the amount of cap space the team has left, one can make some educated guesses about who will be available. It's definitely helpful to have a good idea of what might be available on the market; for example, if you can see that multiple WRs need to be re-signed, then odds are at least a couple of them will enter free agency, and that can help you make decisions about re-signing your own WRs (re-sign if they're better than pending FAs, or don't re-sign if they're worse).
