Can't re-sign player after a trade? by MistbornJedi @ 4/05/2016 10:42 pm https://cust10.preview.myfootballnow.com/player/1875 This guy signed a 6 year deal in the 2016 season. It is now the 2021 season (so the 6th season of his deal). I traded for him at the start of 2021. I am not given the option to sign him to a new contract. I If I signed a street free agent to a 1 year deal, I know I could not then sign him longer. But if I signed a street free agent to a 2+ year deal, I could renegotiate at any time. Even though he's new to my team, this player is in the last year of a 6 year deal, not a 1 year free agent. Shouldn't I be able to offer him a longer deal as an extension to the current contract I inherited from his prior team?

At any rate I have fixed his contract so that you can renegotiate him.

Re: Can't re-sign player after a trade? by ARealKid @ 4/17/2016 5:01 pm I had the same issue in MFN 19. I lost a player because he did Not show up in the renigiotiate wizard so I lost him in free agency.
