Is it true that you are unable to offer contracts to players you have just traded for? In that case, if you trade for a player with only one year left on his contract, you basically only get him for one year and have no chance at preventing him from hitting the market?

I think that issue was a bug. As long as the player was not signed on a one year contract and then traded, you should be able to resign them.

You can't do it in new UI (JNOWN bug) but I was able to in the old UI.

I'm going to bump this. I have a WR in lg 64 that I traded for in the preseason (with only 1 year remaining after being given a 2 year deal in allocation draft). I am not able to offer a contract.
Believe me, I want to resign this 91 WR please.
