My one season was basically spent doing the "tear down" phase of a full rebuild. So the roster is a bit bare with maybe 10 long-term starters, no real studs and virtually no depth. But it does have some things going for it:
- 17 picks in the top 3 rounds over the next 3 seasons, including 7 1st rounders
- Almost no dead cap next year (only $2,596,861) and the team will have ~$94 million in cap space
I've chosen now to abandon rather than just waiting for the end of the season because the Breakers just got knocked out of the playoffs and there are a few FA and expiring coach decisions a new owner would probably rather make themselves.
Note: The Breakers did win their division and make the playoffs but don't be fooled...Division 8 is not good right now. Notice the 45 point *** kicking we received in the opening round of the playoffs.
