My question is how are draft picks ordered for non playoff teams that finish with the same record? What is the tie breaker?

I'm pretty sure in the NFL it goes by strength of schedule, whoever had a weaker sos gets the higher pick but it doesn't seem to work that way on MFN.

Basically Tanman wants to know why he didn't get the number 1 pick in MFN10 :P

Exactly! My schedule and division were both terrible last year so it makes absolutely no sense to me how I didn't get #1 pick. And to make things worse I somehow ended up with the 4th pick out of the 5 3-13 teams. Something is wrong here.

Yeah like that would help people would probably still make a thread asking why they didn't get a certain draft pick.

I think it would be better if there was like a table we could refer to that would tell us what draft position we would get and tell us why we are getting that pick then I would think problem solved in a way.

Its really not that big of a deal just a bummer. I would just like to know what the tiebreaker is. At this point I'm convinced it's random.

Although personally I am in favor of a true draft lottery for all non-playoff teams in every sport.
I am not a fan of tanking and I hate to see it rewarded.
