What this setting does is indicate the impact you want volatility to have on your auto-draft selections. If set to 0, volatility is not considered. If set to 100, volatility is weighed very heavily. When volatility is weighed heavily, in the early rounds you will avoid players with high volatility, and it the later rounds you will prioritize players with high volatility.

I know that. It's currently an allocation draft in the later rounds and I know for a fact my auto board has high volatility players at the top due to the volatility setting that is a 100. The problem is despite the fact that I only see high volatility players at the top of the auto board, I keep drafting players with less than 10 volatility. Unless somehow all the higher rated high volatility players are drafted by the time my pick comes, I suspect there is a disconnect between what's showing up on the auto board and the player who is actually drafted.

When we had the first draft in MFN-1 I was surprised how quickly the high volatility players got taken. Unless you're seeing lots of high volatility players in the pool still, it may just be a matter of all the high volatility players being taken.

Nope, I just checked. Scrolling down the auto loaded board I see high volatility players everywhere. Not a single player is listed in the auto board with volatility less than ten but they keep ending up on my team.

To continue, I just drafted a 21/54 LG with 2 volatility in the 41st round and 52/52 LDE with 6 volatility in the 40th round.
Luckily I happened to be on for my next pick (42nd round) so I observed what is going on. I drafted a 55/56 SLB with 14 volatility. Currently near the top of my auto board are players including 39/59 WLB with 94 volatility, 40/60 WLB with 90 volatility, and 19/58 SLB with 94 volatility.
This is a concrete example that something is different between the auto generated board, and the player who gets picked. Not only are there players with higher potential ratings on the board at the same position (outside linebacker, meaning they are weighted the same in terms of draft order), the higher rated players also have significantly higher volatilities.
The system is definitely taking volatility into account when generating the auto board. But the players at the top of the auto board aren't getting drafted...
Was this issue resolved or investigated? Anecdotal evidence suggests it is a very real issue and I'd hate to have future drafts screwed up the same way.
