Gameplan Idea

It would be nice if the gameplanning screens showed you what gameplan you are currently using. I have saved a few different setups, and I'm never really sure which one I'm making changes to.

The automatic saving has had me making changes to the wrong gameplan numerous times.

The gameplan saving and loading are saving the current state of your gameplan - you're not actually editing a saved gameplan once you load it. I hadn't thought of that being confusing before, but now that you mention it I can see why you thought that. I might need to change the verbiage to make it more clear.

Just put something on the page that says "which" game plan you are using would clear up the confusion. I'm going through that right now as a matter of fact....

Also, can I make continuing adjustments to a saved game plan or once it's saved, that's it?
One game plan is for BOTH Off and Def , correct? They are not separate I'm assuming

If I set a custom game plan for one team, will it stay as a default game plan for other games?

I kind of see why this is confusing, and I need to make it more clear - but when you save a gameplan you are just saving the current state, you are no longer editing the gameplan you just saved. If you make changes and then load the gameplan you saved before the changes, the changes you made will be lost.

The thought behind it is you have maybe a run heavy gameplan for opponent A who you determine has a poor run defense, then you go pass heavy against a poor pass defense, then you play another poor run defense you can load up your first gameplan again. Or, you can work tirelessly in one league to create a gameplan and then save it to use in another league. The gameplan you are currently editing is only saved as the current gameplan, it is not saved as a named gameplan.

Does that make sense? I need to figure out how to either do what you're thinking it's doing or make it more obvious that it's not - the way my brain works I expect it to work the way it does (obviously) and would probably be confused if it does what you are expecting, but I do see why you expect it to work that way and would probably need to include the name of the gameplan on the screen ... and also that would mean that you would have a "default" gameplan in the list even if you hadn't saved any yet.

That would be great.

Thanks!

If I may add a couple cents here (which I believe i've added previously but felt fitting to reiterate in this thread), the ability to save/save as/load offensive/defensive gameplans separately, AND offensive/defensive playbooks separately, would allow a quick and efficient way to manage the gameplanning section of the game. Just my opinion.

I agree. I may make this all part of the same ticket.

I understand what your talking about. That would be great if you could fix that. Thanks for the quick response.

My thought process was.. If it was possible to edit saved game plans, users would be able to adjust game to game what works and doesn't for there team on the fly without having to create new game plans for each different team they might face. Well, unless they want too because that option is already there.
