Why should anyone convince you?

If you don't enjoy the game... don't play. If you do enjoy the game... play.

You seem like a smart guy. You found a way to Win. I'm sure you can find another way to Win. It might not be the way you want to Win, but about 16 NFL Head Coaches lose in the NFL every Year with they way they'd rather Win with.

This is a Game, it has a code... and therefore there will be a Meta. I hate Meta, I do... I try to Meta-Bust everything. Sometimes, it works. You find something no one else prepares for, and you beat them via exploit. Of course, they figure this out over time and can set up a specific Game Plan just to counter your counter. And thus the vicious cycle begins anew.

You either enjoy chasing the dream, or you don't. You chased the dream once before, and found the end of the rainbow. Code changed. Meta changed. A new Dream is there to be chased.

It's up to you if you desire to chase it or not.

I'm not going to ask, beg nor convince anyone to keep playing a game. It's a game. You enjoy it, or you don't. Don't play something you don't enjoy. Do play something you do enjoy. The choice is always yours.

Quit if you want to. Instead you make a thread where you want people to beg you to stay?

Oh, shnap! My boy Brrexkl being a boss... You better come up with a way to win in 73, btw. If I don't have the best roster, can't use run-and-shoot (which honestly is a play-style that I love), and get get a half-decent QB, then you better get good so that I'm not second worst anymore.

Setherick, I may be relatively new to this game, but I love it. I love what it DOES offer, and I like to look at that, rather than what it DOESN'T offer. When OOTP creates BTS, then yes, I think that most of us will move to that if this isn't lightyears better by then, but until that point in time, let's work on building new ways to win.
I've seen pro-style, smashmouth, run and shoot, west coast, a little bit of Marty ball, and Air Raid. I suppose this coding doesn't allow for Buck-lateral, but I think it would be really fun if someone were able to pull it off. Still, why not try developing entirely new offensive systems which fuse some of the more traditional styles with some modernized approaches?
Honestly, though, we'd love to keep you, but if you no longer enjoy MFN, then quit.

I feel somewhat silly posting on this topic, as setherick wouldn't know me if he bumped into me in the hallway on his way to the company cafeteria.

Also, I'll try not to rehash what has already been said so eloquently by so many others, but here I go:

Play because you enjoy the game.

Maybe you enjoy it less at this point in time, but still enjoy the banter, rants, or camaraderie you've achieved from being one of the Genuine Shakers and Movers (I know I've dated myself badly by my expressions, but what can I say, I'm an OLD guy) of this game.

If things continue as they have, tomorrow there will be other tweaks, adjustments, and improvements. Some will be liked, others hated, despised, loathed, and scorned. And yet some teams might figure out a way to use it to their advantage, to the aggravation of others. That's what's so great about the future. We HAVEN'T been there yet! :-)
