I noticed this because I was moving all of my backup TEs to FB for camp because my FB coach had better route and catching than my TE coach. Is this just default weights BS? Because if so, eff default weights.

well even though you cant move him to FB you can still put him on the depth chart as a FB.

But he won't camp at FB, which is what I need him to do since I don't want to try and sign a different position coach, which is what I'll do next camp.

I always thought it had to do with your weights for that position. Like his 12 pass block won't let him qualify for a FB.

in the past you could do that but with his limiting the positions someone can be switched to it makes that point moot.

I think even if he did change his weights he would still have that problem where he cant move him or at least i hope so or else we might just have people change their weights to move players to positions that they want to

Sorry. I just looked back through a bunch of pages of threads as I thought is was at the start of 75 but couldn't find a thing. I read in to what jdb said perhaps I was wrong, but you lowered or shut off the value.

Maybe he was saying there is a set value built in to each position that limits position changes for players?

I believe it is a percentage difference.

You can't move a player to a position where his potential is less than X percent of his potential at his best position, and all of those ratings are the mysterious "default" ratings the Ai uses, not your own.
