This is a team of pretty bad players. Yet I lead the league in sacks at 9.7 a game and I let up only 2 sacks a game. All great but my d line weighs on average 212 pounds. They are 50 to 100 pounds underweight. The offensive lines interior weighs 225 pounds.

Running is hampered a bit by the lack of size but my team handled goaline no problem. I feel this is widely known but here is some info of how bad or good it really is.

Compare Ray's OL to my OL in the same league if you want to see the real extent of the problem. I did everything "right" in drafting fast OL that can pass block. I also throw mostly short passes, and yet I give up 4 sacks a game and have thrown 10 INTs. I'm sure I just misread game documentation somewhere.

I'm gonna guess & say you blitz quite a bit.

You don't have to with an undersized DL. Here's what happens:

1) Physical weight doesn't affect pass blocking at all, so the DL doesn't have a negative for being undersized. They engage with the same effectiveness as a traditionally sized DL.

2) As soon as the undersized DL is free of the OL, they gain a major advantage because physical weight impacts speed (we know this for sure), so they get to the QB a lot faster than the traditional sized DL.

BONUS) If OL blocking actually works like it should where SP determines if the OL gets into position to block, the undersized DL have an advantage over every OL because of how physical weight impacts SP.

Well what would you consider a Blitz, but that team brought more than 4 guys 50 times a game and bring more than 5 guys closer to 30 times a game. Still, there's no way to quickly tally how many blitzes I called on pass plays.

To win games I have seen guys use one two or three defensive plays. Yes I am exploiting pressure, but this plan is agressive while only using one defensive play an upwards of ten times a game.

No future plan in the roadmap will adversely effect this plan. Then in comparison it is not that agressive at all.

Its is funny how one would point out the plan....blitz.....but IMO cover sacks are too strong. Not sacks caused by the blitz. So, I feel where you are coming from, but I could get astronomical numbers with these same dline men with only four guy coming.

Actually , I will play with only four coming and see how that fairs for the rest of the season. My pass defenders are even worse .

I don't think they attack the line the same when a Dt is 240 compared to 300 and they both have 100 strength . There is a huge diffence

If you want the film closely, OL ST is not factored as far as pass blocking goes. A 10 ST DE will push a 100 ST OL around.

Next game I brought 5 guys on only 15 % of plays and blitzed and more than 5 guys only twice...most likely in a goaline senerio.

Still, sacked them on 15% of dropbacks....all coverage sacks with bad defenders . Most sacks were by a 5'9 210 pound DT2.

Was that our game? Lol

I'm using a 240 lbs LB/S as a DT in CUST10, he's leading the league in sacks even though he's been dinged up.
