When you view your roster select "Player Contracts" as the view. This will show how much you will save if you cut someone.
However, be careful about the bonus. You are on the hook for 100% of the bonus, no matter what. The current year's bonus counts towards this year's cap. The remaining years of the bonus count towards next year's cap (which could be 5 years worth of bonus money).
