It's possible it was accepted to push the other team out of FG range, but at 36 yards that's really pushing the edge of most kickers' ranges.

I wish we had some form of control over this, with how over powered deep passing in this game is 3rd and 13 is often easier to pick up than 3rd and 3.... I'd rather live with the FG attempt.
