So, to avoid having two teams named "New York" I've named one New Jersey. Now with San Diego moving to Los Angeles, I'm struggling to come up with what I should name the new city. The best I've come up with is to separate them into "Los Angeles North" and "Los Angeles South".

Any other suggestions?
well Los Angeles AFC and Los Angeles NFC.
or you could go Inglewood Rams and Los Angeles Chargers .
Reason inglewood is because that's where the stadium suppose to be and really reason you should give it to the RAMS is they are going to be the main tenant of stadium.
though you could always keep it as it is meaning Los Angeles and San Diego so you wont have a issue naming them differently.

I think "LA Rams" and "LA Chargers" would be best.
