i noticed on the leagues that are starting new seasons in 4.1 mode,in the pre-season games it shows teams followed by a minus number in a bracket.what is this?

The spread. The team with the number next to it is the favorite and the number is the amount of points they are favored by. (-7) means the team with the number is a favorite to win by 7 points
