Is there any way to reassign existing coaches duties that are under contract, or do I need to offer a new contract at a position for one coach, which will release the current coach and then back-fill the other position from the open coaching market. The team I took over doesn't have the staff in their own best configuration as it is. I may want to jettison some of the coaches anyway, but just want to make sure I understand if I can internally reassign at all. Thanks.

If i recall.. a Coach can be Promoted during early FA as long as they were not given a contract the same season. ie: QB Coach to a coordinator.. position coaches cannot be moved around. all you can do is fire and hire to a new position.. then u run the risk of losing him if others are looking for a coach
