play was 2nd and 10 and the QB gets sacked for -2 yards and there was a hold called on Offense but the next play is 2nd and 7 and they throw a pass for a long TD. This didnt even make any sense at all and dont see the logic as to why they gained 5 yds and got the down all over. It either should have been 3rd and 12 or 2nd and 20. Big difference because the play calling would have been different for next play |

The hold (a little counter-intuitively) occurred down field by one of the receivers, so the spot is correct, however you are right that it shouldn't have been accepted.

Well luckily I came back and kicked a FG with no time left to win. I didnt notice who did the hold as i had the screen almost maxed out to tiny little men..lol

Not meaning to hijack your thread, but I've seen multiple plays by the D where they appear to be all over the QB, who suddenly turns around and inevitably throws for some 20-30 yards, usually on 3rd down as well.

See them all the time. Throws a complete lazer and a lot of those times its into double coverage. You would think a QB moving one way wouldnt be able to throw those hard passes back across the field on a dime and so accurate without it taking anything off the throw and this comes from some lower rated QB's as well. I dont think the pass rush effects the QB at all unless your sacking him as i have seen him being slowed down close to being sacked and he still will throw a pin point pass deep down field or across field. |

I think some of the QBs feel the 'Hurry' and end up over/under throwing, but its in particular the roped ***** on 3rd down with D pressure right over the dot which has me scratching my head. I can't remember which team, but I knew I had to apply pressure to an accurate QB and although my LBs/DEs got through on blitzes it made 0 difference. Lol, I might try a game with zero blitz and see what happens. |

The logic is there, but I agree that it needs to be looked at and modified. |
