If you offer your coaches the exact amount of their current salary, you should get a net of 0 and be able to re-sign the coach. That is the only way I've figured around that other than to sign a bunch of coaches at minimum value.
I like to give a little bump (raise) but never pay them competitive wages. I will try to give them the exact amount they made prior , but I am already in the neg.
And it looks like I could replace my 4 position coaches and that will open up around 15 mil. When I go to contracts for the position coaches it shows me being 14 mil in the red. My theory is if I replaced my 4 currently signed coaches for minimal contracted players . ...something might unglitch for the ability to sign my offensive coordinator (around 9 mil) or head coach(around 15 mil) . I want them both. So in theory I could sign my coordinator first then I will still be in the positive (9-15 mil =6mil) to sign my head coach. Those are the two guys I really want.
As it am in the end stage now anyway . ....I was hoping for the salary loop hole to take effect and hopefully bypass and previous numbers . Cause like I said I really not to concerned but this seems like a clear bug to me .

I am at or around a total of 75 million per year for my whole staff. Based off league averages I should have more than enough room to sign anyone I want.
The cash flow is your salary cap. It's not like the players nor, uses any of theirs.
I cannot sign any of these guys. Does any know how to or if I even can? Everyone is rejecting the minimum . It says I am negative cash flow, but gets closer as I offer contracts.

Regarding your OP, According to my math you have spent a total of $78million+ on coaches. Truthfully, raymattison21, I don't understand why you are paying your position coaches so much ($4million for each coach). If you offer your position coaches the minimum or even drop their salaries to $1million, you should be able to sign your Head Coach, Off & Def Coordinators for salaries close to what you are wanting to pay them. I hope this helps, man. I know the end of season spin is tonight, but you really don't have to worry about signing them until FA Week 1. ;)

The AI made those contracts. I think that is where the bug is. Thanks for all your help. I will let them walk and that should open up enough room for something .
Still doesn't explain how the league averages are so high. I will save that for another day when imhave the time to add everthing up. I don't really care much about position coaches but usually wait for the ai to sign them after I promote the best ones to coordinators . Let us see what they come up with his year!

The league averages are so high because someone, somewhere, found a coach they liked and wanted to keep them. So, in hopes of avoiding other players poaching them, put a premium contract on them as a deterrent. If another player/owner wanted that coach bad enough, they would pay thru the nose. And since coaches will not sign for any less than what they are currently making, sometimes the deterrent works and sometimes it doesn't.
Take the time to find the Highest paid coaches and you will see that they also have other coaches with way below the league average.
Not that it matters.

The things I do not like about coach signing is that it is a blind offer and not knowing if another team is interested in a member of your current staff.
I think I should get a message that Xteam is interested in Ycoach and have offered them Zamount, giving me the option to either choose to increase or match the offer......once again by staying within the cashflow (playing by the rules)....or allowing that coach to take on another position elsewhere.

Fwiw, this is me .. I pay through the nose for HCs, OCs, DCs and very little to PCs (normally minimum contracts). Since PCs make little difference, why pay them more than minimum??
Just my 2 cents on his matter .. lol

It is available on FA, why not the coaches
Actually, this is a good point. Perhaps it should go in the suggestion box.
Are we still held responsible for the contracts of all the coaches we fire? That would explain why Ray cannot hire any new coaches no matter what he does. In this case, the only thing he can do is wait for the season to roll over. I am fortunate enough to never have had this problem, but it would be frustrating for sure.
