It's probably been discussed already but I'd like to be able to put a doubtful player in injured reserve, whatever the real nfl legislation is. The problem is that players often only stay out for 1 week. If you miss your chance to set them on IR then, you're "hosed" and have to live with a "dead" roster slot.

If I'm not mistaken, injured reserve means out for the season.

That's correct, for this reason a player has to have "out" injury status in order to be placed on IR.

Is there a Designation to Return (I think the player can come back at Week 10 or stay on the IR for the rest of the year in the NFL) option? Don't think I've ever seen one, just thought it would be nice to get a roster spot if we have a guy that's going to be out for 8 weeks or so, especially with how many injuries some teams have to deal with.

At this time this has not been implemented yet.

This is crazy, my leading HB is now out for 11 weeks, we have 5 weeks of regular season left, I can't put him on IR to free up his roster spot and I need another back.

You can have my HB Austin, i believe he is worth 4 round 1 draft picks bahahaha.

I have a player that at start of season was OUT-15 weeks, but he was too good to send to FA so thats one spot i have got blocked for the year. Another player i had at the start was OUT-10 weeks. he is now doubtful 7 weeks. Interestingly he is my FB, shrewd decision to draft that FB in the first round now aye :)
