I've noticed the default team abbreviate for Charlotte is "CLT". Maybe its just me, but I think that may be a little off-putting. I would nominate "CHA", as perhaps a better default abbreviation...

I think CLT works alright with me, but if it bothers some I don't mind changing it. I may also relocate my team this offseason. Does relocating cost more than 5 credits?

It doesn't really bother or offend me, I just can't associate the word "Charlotte" with that abbreviation. Additionally, that same thing happens across several custom leagues by default.

Maybe you should relocate. When El Paso went to CLT in the preseason, we had a real hard time finding it :D.

I believe the default abbreviations for all the custom teams are the airport codes.

For example, CLT for Charlotte and PDX for Phoenix, etc.

If that were the case then Chicago (CHI) would be ORD, I think it may be a factor, but not the defining factor

All the city information has been loaded from the http://www.geonames.org/ database. I think most of the 3-letter abbreviations are the airport codes but not all, I'm actually not sure what they actually mean or which came first (all the cities have several "alternate names" but usually only one 3-letter one)
