I thought I had read somewhere that the new engine stopped QBs from passing to players engaged in pass blocking.
It seems I have a couple per game for a loss of about 5 |

It definitely did not stop that at all. If anything it's worse, along with extra point kicking, punt returns, and from what i've seen double covered receivers have a better reception rate than single coverage. Last update imo was 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. Oh yea can't forget about the 7 yd hailmary lobs either lol

I can't find them, but I had a QB throw a couple of backwards passes into the big group of battling linemen and it ended up as a fumble, not incomplete. Luckily one of them was recovered by my RB who took it downfield for about 20 yards or so.

The way I look at it is that the play depiction tries to match the play outcome as best as possible, but many times the play result will not reflect exactly what you are seeing on the play.
Example is, a defensive player putting extreme pressure on the QB who throws it away, the DL does not get credit for a pressure even though it was obvious on the screen. Or a DB/LB covering a reciever tight and the ball bounces back like a knockdown, but the DB/LB doesnt get credit for it. They are frustrating to watch, when you are on the bad side of the play, no doubt about it, but I try to remember that what is being shown on the screen may not match up or accurately reflect the play result. Wont keep me from shouting an expletive when it happens tho, lol. |
