After a nice completion downfield, I'm just in FG range with a TO left and about 30 or so seconds left in the game with enough time for 1 more play to get in better positioning/field advantage for the FG attempt.

Instead the 2nd TO is called that leaves only 2 seconds on the clock for my kicker to miss the FG.

My guess would be some confusion on the sideline. Maybe a last second discussion of which play to call and it took too long, forcing them to call a time out. Not good clock management, but I think it happens to the best of them once in a while.

I doubt we'll ever be given more control over time out usage so that they are called wisely, as least not in 2018.

No strategy in Timeout logic in overtime with a chance to score in the final minute

this has been an issue forever. I hate it when my coach will call a timeout after first and second down when the opponent has the ball but then after third down hold onto a timeout and let the opponent run out a bunch of time before punting it to me and leaving me with barely any time and a timeout in my pocket. This aspect of the game has been complained about for so long it's ridiculous.

does this mean we can start blaming the Germans or maybe the Russians for this or is this still too early to blame someone??
