When a player is cut he should be converted to a position that maximizes his ability based on default ratings.

This suggestion is to prevent users from stashing useful players in FA or obscuring thier true abilities so others may not miss out on a waiver claim in order to disperse talent evenly.

A definite bug deliberately applied by savvy users and capitalized on by other more attentive / experienced users. When in reality the player would end up on a bottom dweller or at least get the pay he is worth .

jdb has already addressed this before, the game should already be doing this.

he was converted from DL to OL by someone then later someone else find him and converted him back from OL to DL

so either whoever did it found a exploit to still hide people if you will or the game isnt doing its 1 JOB it is suppose to do.

You can move OL to DL and DL to OL pretty easily because they both share two of the most important attributes -- SP and AC. A few months ago, I was running fast OL as DL in beta just because I could.

The waiver wire will show the player's best position by your ratings. Also, a player will request his salary based on the best default ratings. So the loophole might be that he lets his contract expire and changes his position to hide him in early FA, but all you have to do to overcome that is choose to view players not at the position when you do an FA search by position. Also, if there is an AI team, he will not pay attention to the assigned position and will choose the best rated player and change his position once he's on his roster.
