i was looking at Kansas City Chiefs transactions and i noticed they sent 4 contract offers to 4 coaches for OC
those 4 are 1st = https://maddox.myfootballnow.com/coach/149 Rejected contract offer from Kansas City ($6,000,000, 3 yrs) 2nd = https://maddox.myfootballnow.com/coach/200 Rejected contract offer from Kansas City ($12,000,000, 6 yrs) 3rd = https://maddox.myfootballnow.com/coach/225 Signed contract with Kansas City ($7,500,000, 3 yrs) 4th = https://maddox.myfootballnow.com/coach/501 Rejected contract offer from Kansas City ($12,000,000, 6 yrs) btw all four occured on 2019 Free Agency 4 of 5 stage here is that team = https://maddox.myfootballnow.com/team/4 they only had 1 spot open for a coach so how could they sent 4 contract offers to 4 different coaches for that job??

This isn't a problem or a bug. Teams are able to send offers to as many candidates as deemed necessary hoping that 1 will sign. It is like casting a net. And as you can notice, the offers were different amounts.
The real problem would have been if the offers were all the same and all accepted. Then, I am guessing, that there would be multiple, quick hirings and firings as each would sign and then be let go as the next signed in order of offer sent. |
