I think a draft stock for a player in the draft, which I mean their potential, should rise or fall within the last few weeks before the draft during free agency weeks. I mean, everyone was talking about Marcus Mariota being the #1 QB, but now there are talks of Winston going first in the draft I believe?
My point being is that it would add more 'mystery' in upcoming drafts.

It does rise or fall a little bit. I think it is about right now.

It's simple logic.
Am I interested in them? No - who cares Yes... 50% chance will be picked the pick before mine 50% chance they'll bust

Many factors cause stock to rise or fall, but alot of it is hype also. The sleeper picks or players who lost value is only seen on draft day. Still then development is key. So actual draft postion matters but the boom or busts are not seen until after training. Injuries, off the field problems and combine scores are not here. That only leaves how a coach uses that draftee possibly hyping them. But without knowing other coaches desire for a particular player pre draft there can not be draft stock values beyond the potenial. Wheres Mike Mayock? Or Mel Kieper when you need them.

Some of this could be simulated by player made mock drafts, discussion on who should go & where, smoke screens, and trade bait.

I have thought a lot about ways to facilitate this, including building an interface where you can build your own mock draft with comments that would show up in the forums, probably as soon as the draft class comes out since at that point the first half of the draft order is set.

A war room news ticker that could also include rumors & player draft thoughts? Automatic next ten mock drafts? Generating the content would be the trick. Almost would need volunteer content.

I would happily volunteer to do mock drafts, Draft rumors, ETC. +1 on this idea
