I forgot to set my draft board for a league, which was my fault, and ended up with this guy in the second round: https://die-hard-fans.myfootballnow.com/player/4910
The problem is that I had 5 RBs on my roster, so definitely not a need, and there were several players on my draft board that were rated much, much higher based on my weights. I get that setting the draft board is my fault, but this is a bit absurd. |

I still make that mistake.

I thought of that. RBs were a little higher, but not high enough to justify picking that guy over an 80 rated player.

His low volatility surely played a part. I believe the default volatility influence for auto-picking is 20. In my experience that can lead to some pretty strange picks jumping to the top after the 1st round.

It would be best, in the case of a no draft board PLUS no set preference for auto, that draft picks pick best player available by position of most need via position distribution settings.
I hope this may be possible to code, t would fix "dead teams" big time. While I am at it, round 5-7 draft picks should be rookie 3 yr minimum signings, not 4 yr max ;) would go a long way to prevent ai driven contract inflation. edited to unsubscribe.
